Is Selfeed free?
Yes. Taking a daily photo, keeping albums and watching your timelapse cost nothing, and every day's frame is kept for good. The original photograph is kept for ninety days. Selfeed Pro keeps the originals for as long as you keep the account, imports your whole library instead of the last three months, and exports the film without the Selfeed mark.
How does a friend's photo get onto my home screen?
They take today's photo; a moment later the widget has their face in it. No notification, no sound, nothing to open. You see somebody only if you follow them and they have made an album public. On a phone that follows nobody yet, the widget shows your own latest frame.
What happens if I miss a day?
That album's streak resets — streaks only count days you actually showed up. Your photos and your timelapse are untouched: one gap is one missing frame.
Can I import selfies I already have?
Yes, and it is the fastest way to have a film worth watching on the first evening. Open a past day and pick from the photos you took that day. A free account reaches ninety days back — about eleven seconds of film. Pro reaches your whole library.
How does the face alignment work?
Face detection finds your face in every photo and crops around it, keeping your eyes in the same spot from frame to frame. That is what makes a year of photos watchable instead of jittery.
Can I keep several series at once?
Yes — albums run in parallel, each with its own streak and its own timelapse: a daily portrait, a growing beard, a kid growing up.
Who can see my photos?
Nobody, until you say so three times: choose a handle, turn your public profile on, feature an album. Undo any one of the three and you leave every feed at once. The original photograph is never public — a follower sees the square frame, never the file your camera made.
